EXCLAMA Nº31

Editorial Art Direction and Design

Exclama is an independent publication that explores art, design, architecture, and contemporary thought from Colombia.
Each issue proposes a new visual identity that responds to its content and featured artist.

In this issue, the visual approach is built around photography as the central element, using understated typography, generous margins, and a dynamic reading rhythm that reflects Parr’s visual language.

The editorial composition alternates full-bleed images, visual silences, and typographic blocks that reinforce the ironic and documentary tone of the British photographer.

The design seeks a balance between rhythm and pause, allowing the image to speak for itself.
A flexible grid made it possible to build compositional variations that enrich the reading experience without losing visual coherence.
